OUR STORY: CLOVER BEACH

We didn’t start Clover Beach to just make another beach blanket. As a small Australian family based between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, we live for the Queensland coastline—but we were tired of sitting on wet, sandy towels and the inevitable sand-filled car ride home. We also struggled to find a truly stylish mat that actually covered the space under our cabana; We knew there was a better way to do summer, so we decided to design it ourselves.

ARTIST-LED DESIGN

Every Clover Beach blanket starts in our home studio. With an artist and graphic designer in-house, we personally hand-illustrate and digitise every print in our collection ourselves. We don't use AI images or buy generic patterns from a catalog for our designs. This allows us to bring a touch of boutique, intentional style to the shoreline that you won't find anywhere else.

But we didn't just stop at the artwork. We looked at the products already on the market and knew we could improve how they actually performed on the sand. We wanted a blanket that wasn't just beautiful, but one that solved the common frustrations of a windy, sandy day.

We engineered the Clover Beach blanket to be the ultimate foundation for your setup. While most mats leave you sitting on hot sand, we created our signature cabana fit—a massive 2.75m x 2.75m footprint designed to fit perfectly under your cabana from edge to edge.

To solve the "fly-away" problem, we added integrated corner pockets that flip up to fit your cabana legs for 2.4m cabanas or that you can fill with sand to anchor your spot for smaller cabanas, ensuring your mat stays flat and secure even on breezy coastal afternoons. Combined with our specialised recycled fabric that shakes clean in seconds, it’s a total upgrade from the standard beach experience.

OUR SUSTAINABLE COMMITMENT

The ocean is our backyard, and we’re committed to protecting it. That’s why we’ve chosen to craft our blanket fabric from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Choosing recycled polyester over virgin fabric is a small change with a massive impact—it uses significantly less energy and slashes carbon emissions by up to 70%. By turning plastic waste into premium, soft-touch textile, we’re helping keep plastic bottles out of our oceans and landfills, ensuring our favourite coastal spots stay beautiful for generations to come.
